Dr Giles holds roles as a Research Fellow at the Hudson Institute of Medical Research and Monash University where his research spans various domains of mucosal immunology, particularly in relation to paediatrics and IBD. Additionally, he actively contributes to the research committee of the Gastroenterological Society of Australia.
Dr Giles received training at the University of Melbourne, the Royal Children’s Hospital, and multiple hospitals in London. He previously held a consultant position at the Royal London Hospital before relocating to Melbourne in early 2016.
His extensive expertise in paediatric gastroenterology encompasses a wide spectrum, including coeliac disease, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), failure to thrive, liver conditions, infant and child nutrition, IBD, and extensive proficiency as a certified paediatric endoscopist.
In his private practice located in Clayton, Dr Giles provides consultations, and he conducts endoscopy procedures at Cabrini Malvern.
