About Dr Yavar Khan
Dr Khan is a Specialist Periodontist with a decade of experience in dentistry. Since graduating from the prestigious Royal London Dental Institute, Dr Khan has acquired a wide range of experience in his dental career; always looking to better his skills and education at every opportunity. He undertook Dental Core Training in various dental specialties, including oral & maxillofacial surgery, paediatric dentistry, restorative dentistry and oral medicine. This training included a year spent as a house officer in maxillofacial surgery, Dr Khan has also worked many years as a general dentist in the NHS, before returning to the Royal London to carry out his specialist training in Periodontics; graduating with a Doctorate in Clinical Dentistry and entry onto the General Dental Council Specialist Register. His extensive time in training, and experience across a range of dental and surgical specialties has allowed him to create a unique and sought-after portfolio of experience. In addition to his practice, Dr. Khan is actively involved in research, with his doctorate thesis focusing on the development of novel drug therapies for the treatment of periodontal disease. Dr Khan takes referrals from professional colleagues all over the UK for all aspects of Periodontics. When not in surgery, Dr Khan can be found spending time with his young family, as well as playing cricket and supporting his beloved Arsenal FC.
