Inspired by his mother’s experience with osteoporosis, he is passionate about preventive medicine and believes in compassionate, patient-centred care. Dr Mahmud is also a Trustee of the Global Osteoporosis Foundation, which is committed to eradicating osteoporosis worldwide by 2040. He has a keen interest in the arts and enjoys tennis and running. Previously, he was a trustee for Great Causes, a charity supporting cataract operations in the developing world.
