He is a project Consultant for Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) studies at the University of Hong Kong. He pioneered the implementation of Low-Level Laser Therapy for treating cancer treatment-related toxicities and Intraoperative Electron Radiotherapy (IOERT) for cancer treatment in the UK.
Dr Ramkumar was Senior Medical Advisor and Lead Clinician-Proton Therapy for Rutherford Cancer Centre until June 2022 and is now the Medical Director for Proton Therapy UK. He is keen to improve cancer outcomes with newer cancer treatments and reduce cancer treatment-related toxicities.
