About
Dr Sarah Sproson qualified as a Clinical Psychologist in 2002, gaining her doctorate at the University of Exeter. Thus far in her career, she has worked in a whole host of NHS settings. Having spent a substantial amount of time focusing on working with client groups that have complex needs, she has progressed both her knowledge and experience in the treatment of psychological difficulties. In addition to her role in the NHS, she has been practising in the private sector since 2008.
Intent on being able to manage and treat a variety of psychological problems, Dr Sproson has extensive training in cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT) and Mindfulness based therapy. She also works with individuals, families, couples and carers and has experience in providing training and supervision in psychological approaches to a number of different audiences.
Dr Sproson is passionate about her patients possessing the skills to help themselves outside of the clinic or hospital, and to this extent, she continues to expand her knowledge where possible.
