Dr Bhandari completed his medical degree in India in 1984, followed by the completion of a DPM at the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences and his MD at the Central Institute of Psychiatry in India. He later relocated to the UK and undertook higher training within the Royal London Hospital training scheme. He became a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 1994 and a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2013.
Dr Bhandari has specialist expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of a range of psychiatric disorders, including: mood disorders (e.g., depression and bipolar disorder), anxiety and panic disorder, OCD, phobias, psychosis, schizophrenia, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
Beyond his clinical practice, Dr Bhandari has a passion for teaching and training. He has been an integral part of the University College London Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) training program for over two decades. Additionally, he has contributed chapters on psychopathology to a widely used psychiatry textbook, currently in its third edition.
