About
Current Roles and Clinical Practice:
NHS Clinical Lead: Dr. Ali serves as the Clinical Lead for Allergy at St. Bartholomew's Hospital (Barts Health NHS Trust). Dr. Ali also works in the national Barts Severe Asthma service, for which she was also previously the Clinical Lead.
National Leadership: Dr. Ali is a Director and Trustee of the British Society for Allergy & Clinical Immunology (BSACI) and a past member of the Health Advisory Board for the patient charity Allergy UK. She was a member of the Royal College of Physicians Joint Committee for Allergy & Immunology and worked on several projects with the Dept of Health.
Private Practice: Dr. Ali consults in London’s Harley Street district, at King Edward VII’s Hospital, renowned for its royal charter.
Academic Background: She earned her medical degree (MBBS) and a BSc in Physiology from University College London (UCL).
Research: She holds a PhD from Imperial College London for research into allergic asthma and peptide immunotherapy. She has been a principal investigator in research trials in Allergy & Asthma, and is an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at Queen Mary University of London.
COVID-19 Contribution: During the pandemic, she served as a Respiratory lead and was a sub-investigator for the landmark RECOVERY trial, which identified dexamethasone as a treatment for COVID-19.
Recognition: In 2025 and 2026, she has been featured in Tatler’s Doctors Guide as one of the UK’s top specialists. She has also received multiple Clinical Excellence Awards for her work within the NHS.

Severe Asthma: Using advanced biologic treatments (monoclonal antibodies) for difficult-to-control cases.
Allergy Testing: Providing skin prick testing, molecular immunology blood assays (ISAC array), and food/drug provocation challenges.
Immunotherapy: Offering desensitisation (SLIT) for hay fever and airborne allergies.
Severe urticaria & angioedema: Offering biologic injections.
