His special interests include cardiac disease in women, the management of intractable angina, and the relationship between psychological health and cardiac disease. Dr. Roberts has expertise in the following areas: • Assessment of chronic complex cardiology conditions such as chronic angina despite intervention such as angioplasty or bypass. • Microvascular angina management (more common in postmenopausal women). • Cardiac disease in women and the impact of the menopause • Investigation and treatment of anxiety and stress related illness in relation to cardiac disease and the psychological impact of cardiac disease. • ECP- Expert in External Counterpulsation Therapy (also known as EECP in the USA)which can also be used as part of a Longevity programme to optimise cardiac function • E-referrals to and interpretation of cardiac MRI, and non invasive CT coronary angiogram.
