About Dr Pankaj Punia
Dr P Punia Is a medical oncologist and consultant at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Birmingham and is a visiting oncologist at the City and Sandwell NHS Trust. He also acts as a principal investigator in numerous ongoing clinical hepatobiliary and colorectal cancer trial both nationally and internationally. At Queen Elizabeth Hospital, he is the education lead for acute oncology. Dr P Punia was a Senior lecturer/ honorary consultant at St James Institute of Oncology in Leeds prior to his work at Queen Elizabeth Hospital. He graduated from Gulbarga University, India in 1998 and completed his general medical training at Leeds Teaching Hospital and South Manchester University Hospital. It was at St James Institute of Oncology where Dr Punia trained in medical oncology. With his postgraduate degree in Clinical Education, Dr Punia continues to be regularly involved in clinical research and medical education. He specialises in the treatment of primary and secondary liver cancers, colorecatal cancer, Cholangiocarcinoma and Pancreatic cancer.
