About Dr Nicholas Hayes
Dr Nicholas Hayes is a Consultant Paediatric Cardiologist based at Southampton Children's Hospital with many years of experience in the management of congenital heart disease and paediatric cardiac conditions, including specialist expertise in paediatric and congenital cardiac catheter intervention. After graduating from Bristol University, he undertook post-graduate core training in paediatrics and subsequent specialist paediatric cardiology training in London at Evelina Children's, Royal Brompton and Great Ormond Street Hospitals (including two years of dedicated sub-specialty experience in paediatric and adult congenital intervention at Evelina Children's Hospital) Dr Hayes is the current Training Programme Director for Paediatric Cardiology in the Wessex Deanery and sits on the National Specialist Advisory Committee for the specialty. He has an active research interest in the field of congenital heart disease, regularly publishing in peer reviewed journals. He sees private patients at the Spire Southampton Hospital.
