About Prof Neil Ruparelia
Professor Neil Ruparelia, Consultant Cardiologist, currently sees private patients across Berkshire and London. He is highly specialised in interventional cardiology, as well as a wide range of general cariological issues. Prof Ruparelia graduated from University College London in 2004 with a Bachelors in Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) which was intercalated with a law degree. Following this, he then went on to begin his Higher Specialist Training in Cardiology in Oxfordshire, before moving to Hammersmith Hospital in London to undertake a fellowship in interventional Cardiology. He also undertook a Master's degree in Italy at the San Raffaele Scientific Institute. His Interest in research earned him a DPhil from the University of Oxford, which included him spending time at MIT and Harvard. He was then awarded a fellowship from the European Society of Cardiology (FESC). After training, he became a consultant for the Royal Berkshire and Hammersmith Hospitals. He has a keen interest in research, publishing over 150 peer-reviewed articles to date. He continues to contribute back to medical education as an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Imperial College London and as Professor in Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Reading. He has been appointed Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP) for his work.
