About Dr Mohammad A Paracha
Dr Paracha is a Consultant Chest Physician working in Blackpool. He has expertise in managing respiratory problems, and a particular interest in those related to sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnoea, narcolepsy, restless legs syndrome, excessive daytime sleepiness and parasominas. As a result, Dr Paracha serves as Director of Blackpool Sleep Service and member of American Academy of Sleep Medicine and British Sleep Society. Dr Paracha graduated in 1987 from Karachi and later obtained membership of the Royal College of Physicians of UK in 1992. After gaining a wealth of experience in all aspects of general medicine, he then opened a specialist training programme in Respiratory Medicine and worked alongside other experts in the field of respiratory health, especially in relation to COPD and tuberculosis. In 2013 he was awarded Team of the Year Award, Blackpool Teaching Hospitals. Outside of work, Dr Paracha enjoys history and is a keen economist.
