About Dr Manny Srivastava
Dr Manny Srivastava is a highly experienced Consultant Gastroenterologist with over two decades of specialist practice in both the NHS and private sectors. Based at Spire Cardiff Hospital, he provides expert care across a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions, with a particular focus on inflammatory bowel disease, motility disorders, irritable bowel syndrome, gastrointestinal cancers, and liver disease. He performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as colonoscopy, gastroscopy, and flexible sigmoidoscopy, and has carried out more than 10,000 endoscopic procedures over the course of his career. Dr Srivastava qualified in 1984 from Charing Cross Hospital Medical School in London and became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians in 1987. He earned his MD from London University in 1992 and was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians in 1994. His postgraduate training included a senior registrar post in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne and a visiting fellowship at the University of Rotterdam, where he gained further research and endoscopic expertise. He has been a Consultant at the Royal Gwent Hospital since 1994 and currently holds a consultant post with Cardiff & Vale University Health Board. Dr Srivastava has published research on inflammatory bowel disease and irritable bowel syndrome and remains actively engaged with professional organisations, contributing to the advancement of gastroenterology in Wales and beyond.
