About Dr Katarzyna Adamek
Dr. Katarzyna Adamek is a Gynaecologist currently practicing in Luxmedica in Ealing, London. Having graduated from a Medical College in Cracow in 1992, she went on to gain experience in the field of Gynaecology and Oncology by working in a clinic of Collegium Medicum at the Jagiellonian University. She continued her training across Europe in the Institute of Mother and Child in Warsaw and the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich. Dr. Adamek is highly experienced in ultra-sonography and can provide this service within her clinic. In addition to speaking fluent English, Dr Adamek can communicate well in French and Russian. She takes an empathetic and understanding approach to her consultations and believes in treating every patient as an individual. Dr Adamek is involved in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of gynaecological issues such as heavy bleeding, light bleeding, painful periods, polycystic ovarian syndrome, premature ovarian failure and menopause. She is able to provide hormonal therapies for the treatment of menopause and can carry out a range of diagnostic tests including cytology (cervical smears), breast examinations or ultrasounds. She believes in the importance of early detection of disease as rapid detection is often more likely to result in a cure.
