He undertook his Specialist training at The Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh with MRD in Endodontics. In 2013 Dr. Rhodes was awarded Fellowship in Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Edinburgh.
Dr. Rhodes is recognized internationally for his contribution to postgraduate Endodontic teaching and is currently collaborating on a research project with Kings College London. He has been extensively published in peer-reviewed journals and numerous articles for dental press. He is the author of Advanced Endodontics: Re-treatment and Surgery, co-author of Endodontics: Problem Solving in Clinical Practice and contributing author in Harty's Endodontics in Clinical Practice. He also writes a quarterly interactive video article for Endodontic Practice Journal.
He is a referee for the International Endodontic Journal and ENDO (Endodontic Practice Today). He manages the Dorset Endo Study Group and also creates Endodontic content for the Dental Channel.
