Dr Isabelle Hung is a registered Counselling Psychologist offering psychological therapy services. The goal of couples therapy is to help each individual understand how best to look after their couple through communication and self-awareness. Dr Hung's Clinical Psychology doctoral course was very extensive as it focused on teaching a range of therapeutic approaches such that they could adapt to each individual. Their experience of working with very different people, with very varied and complex presentations has taught them to work flexibly to suit the individual.
Before working with any new patient, Dr Hung suggests a free 30-minute telephone consultation, so that both parties can get a sense of whether they can form a good relationship to deliver high quality therapy. If one or both parties do not think that they are suitable, Dr Hung will endeavour to recommend an alternative therapist who they think will best meet the patient's needs. Their passion is to help people be content in their lives and so, although they do think carefully about the past and present, they place an emphasis on looking forward and working towards achieving patient goals.
