About Dr Ian Renfrew
Dr Ian Renfrew is a highly experienced consultant Interventional radiologist, having undertaken fellowships in adult and paediatric interventional radiologist at Guys and St Thomas's hospitals and Great Ormond Street Childrens Hospital, prior to being appointed a consultant interventional radiologist at The Royal London Hospital, Barts Health in 2003. Dr Renfrew establised the uterine artery embolisation service there, for the local and regional hospitals as well as developing system with colleagues in Obstetrics and Anaesthesia for the safer delivery of women with Placental invasion. Dr Renfew undertakes private work at The London Clinic, London Gynaecology and The Nuffield Health at St Bartholomews Hospital. Dr Renfrew undertakes both diagnostic and interventional radiology, including uterine artery embolisation for symtomatic fibroids and adenomyosis, liver interventions, such as ablations, embolisations and biliary drainage and stenting, Vascular access procedures, such as portcath and dialysis line insertions, Biopsies - lung, liver, renal, and lymph node. urological procedures, scuh as nephrostomies, ureteric stents and varicocele embolisations.
