Dr. Dayo Ajayi-Obe is a senior consultant general paediatrician with an interest in paediatric infectious diseases. She offers conventional face-to-face consultations but also offers the options of video and telephone consultations, enabling parents and patients to consult with her in the comfort of their own homes in some instances and at a reduced fee.
She has worked as a NHS consultant paediatrician at the Hammersmith Hospital, Imperial College Healthcare NHS trust since 2003 and she has private practising privileges at the Hammersmith Hospital, Imperial Private Healthcare, Harley Street Children's Hospital and HCA Chiswick Outpatients and Diagnostic Centre in London. She has worked in a number of renowned hospitals in London within a number of varied paediatric specialties and these have included Great Ormond Street Hospital, Kings College Hospital, Queen Charlotte and Chelsea Hospital, Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, Royal Free Hospital, Alder Hey Children's Hospital and the Richard Desmond Children's Eye Centre at Moorfields Eye Hospital.
In addition to her paediatric qualifications in the UK, she also has the Fellowship of the West Africa College of Physicians (Paediatrics), having completed a dissertation on cerebral malaria, hence her interest in travel medicine and tropical diseases.
In 1998 Dr Ajayi-Obe completed a Masters of Science degree at Harvard University in Epidemiology (the branch of medicine that deals with research into distribution and causal factors for health related states including diseases and the application of this study to the control of diseases and health problems). Her research interests include paediatric RSV and influenza respiratory infections and paediatric tuberculosis.
In 2011 she took a 2-year sabbatical were she took up the post of head of the department of paediatrics at Lagoon hospitals in Nigeria. She also spearheaded the 1st Imperial College London CPD Paediatric Course in Lagos, Nigeria focusing on paediatric allergy, nutrition, emergency paediatrics, and infectious diseases.

Other skin infections and rashes: eczema, dry skin, ringworm, impetigo. Enlarged glands (lumps) Growth problems: weight loss, obesity, failure to gain weight, iron deficiency, vitamin deficiencies, feeding problems in infants. Travel medicine and immunisations (vaccinations given at Harley Street), headaches, recurrent abdominal pain (tummy ache), anal itching (worms), aches and pains, viral illnesses, tropical infections: malaria.
