About Dr Elie Okirie
Dr Elie Okirie is a highly experienced Consultant in Neurological and Specialist Rehabilitation with over 30 years of medical practice, including more than 20 years dedicated to the rehabilitation of individuals with severe and complex disabilities. His expertise spans brain injury, post-concussion syndrome, spinal cord injury, and long-term neurological conditions such as multiple sclerosis and neuromuscular disorders. Dr Okirie serves as the Clinical Director at the Central England Rehabilitation Unit (CERU), a Level 1 specialised NHS rehabilitation service at Leamington Spa Hospital. He also works at University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire, providing care for major trauma patients in both hyper-acute and post-acute rehabilitation phases. In addition, Dr Okirie is the Consultant to the British Horseracing Authority for post-concussion medical assessments. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of London, a Fellow of the European Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine, and a Member of the World Federation for NeuroRehabilitation.
