Dr Thottungal has expertise in a wide range of areas, including ultrasound-guided interventions in pain management, pelvic pain, shoulder pain, peripheral neuropathies, neuromodulation, facet joint injection, epidural, spinal injections, sacroiliac joint injections, pulsed radiofrequency, radiofrequency denervation, shoulder injections, trigger point injections, nerve root block and peripheral nerve block.
Alongside her clinical work, Dr Thottungal actively contributes to teaching ultrasound-guided interventions and regional anaesthesia blocks for anaesthesia and chronic pain management both nationally and internationally. She also serves as an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Canterbury Christ Church University.
