About Dr Ari Manuel
Dr Ari Manuel is a Consultant Respiratory, Sleep and Ventilation Specialist dedicated to enhancing care for patients diagnosed with sleep-disordered breathing (SDB) in the UK. He currently sees private patients at Spire Murrayfield Hospital Wirral, Spire Regency Hospital Macclesfield, Spire Liverpool Hospital, The Wilmslow Hospital, Sefton Suite Aintree University Hospital and Venturi Cardiology. Dr Manuel also runs a specialised Sleep and Snoring Clinic alongside Consultant ENT Surgeon Mr Derrick Siau, Consultant ENT Surgeon. Here, he uses a multidisciplinary approach, offering personalised treatment plans and comprehensive diagnostics. Dr Manuel completed his Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry followed by his medical degree at Imperial College London in 2003. He then completed his specialist training in London and was awarded his Membership of the Royal College of Physicians. He later completed his PhD in Sleep Medicine at Oriel College in Oxford, as well as a Diploma in Higher Education at the University of Oxford. With over a decade of experience in sleep units, both clinically and academically, including the last three years as a Consultant, Dr Manuel is committed to streamlining patient pathways for those with SDB. He strives to provide timely identification, accurate testing, and appropriate treatment. Actively engaged in national committees such as the British Thoracic Society, the Royal Society of Medicine, and British Sleep Society, Dr Manuel understands the challenges in delivering SDB services. He is also involved with the All Party Government Group for Obesity and NHS England.. Dr Manuel has also had media appearances on national radio shows and held roles as a Medical Trustee for Hope-2-Sleep, a sleep apnoea charity, and Collaborator with the British Lung Foundation.
