Andrew achieved the highest examination score in Europe in his ophthalmic board exams, and is among a select group of surgeons to hold a Fellowship in Cataract and Refractive Surgery.

He is also one of the few ophthalmologists in Scotland to hold a Laser Refractive Surgery qualification from the Royal College of Ophthalmologists.

Andrew lives in Edinburgh with his wife and three daughters. Outside of clinical practice, he volunteers as a qualified assessor for the British Paralympic Association, supporting athletes competing at the highest level of para‑sport.
