About Dr Andrew Docherty
Dr Andrew Docherty graduated from the University of Glasgow in 1991 and is an experienced cardiologist with broad expertise across interventional and general cardiology. His clinical interests include cardiovascular risk reduction, coronary artery disease, and valvular heart disease, with particular expertise in coronary angioplasty, intervention and stenting. Dr Docherty has extensive experience in the diagnosis and management of cardiac rhythm abnormalities, including arrhythmias, hypertension, and the implantation and follow-up of pacemakers and implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs). His academic interests focus on the management of acute coronary syndromes and atrial fibrillation, reflecting a commitment to evidence-based, up-to-date cardiovascular care. He is an active member of several professional bodies, including the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, the British Cardiovascular Society, the British Cardiovascular Intervention Society, and the Scottish Cardiac Society.
