About
In 2009, Dr. Josephs received a prestigious clinical research fellowship from Cancer Research UK, which enabled her to pursue a PhD in translational cancer immunology at King's College London, a journey she completed in 2013. This significant achievement opened doors for her, leading to an Academic Clinical Lectureship at Guy's and St. Thomas' and King's College London. In this role, she actively engaged in clinical and translational research, earning recognition through multiple awards, such as the Sylvia Lawler Oncology Prize from the Royal Society of Medicine and the McElwain Prize in Medical Oncology from the Association of Cancer Physicians.
In 2017, Dr. Josephs assumed the role of Consultant in Medical Oncology at Guy's and St. Thomas', where she also serves as the Joint Lead Clinician for Prostate Cancer. Further expanding her expertise, in 2022, she specialized in early-phase translational drug development within the Guy’s Cancer Early Phase Clinical Trials Unit. Her contributions to the field were further recognized when she was appointed as the Advanced Therapies Medicinal Products (ATMP) Clinical Lead for the Trust, in addition to her role as Solid Tumour Cell Therapy Lead. Furthermore, Dr. Josephs holds the position of Honorary Senior Lecturer at King's College London, where she continues to mentor and guide PhD students in their research pursuits.
“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
