About Dr David Robertson
Dr. David Robertson is a highly experienced Consultant Gynaecologist at Manchester Fertility specializing in reproductive medicine. With a career spanning over three decades, he has dedicated himself to the field of fertility and in vitro fertilization (IVF). Dr. Robertson completed his medical degree at the University of Glasgow in 1977, followed by his specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology in Glasgow, London, and Leicester. He became a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) in 1982, as a Fellow of the RCOG in 1998. Since 1986, he has been actively involved in the fertility and IVF field, continuously expanding his knowledge and honing his skills in this specialized area of medicine. As the former Group Medical Director for Bourn Hall International, Dr. Robertson played a pivotal role in overseeing Bourn Hall's overseas clinics in the UAE and India. His responsibilities included ensuring the highest standard of medical care and strategic development of the clinics. This experience provided him with valuable insights into global fertility practices and the diverse needs of patients from different regions. Dr. David Robertson's expertise extends to the genetic aspects of fertility treatment, including preimplantation genetic testing (PGT). He possesses a deep understanding of the complex genetic factors that can impact fertility and the role of genetic screening in improving IVF success rates. Additionally, he has extensive experience in managing patients with poor prognosis and those who have experienced repeated IVF failures. His compassionate approach and vast knowledge allow him to provide tailored treatment plans and support to these patients, offering them hope and guidance on their fertility journey.
