About Dr David John Breen
Dr David John Breen is a Consultant Radiologist. They are an internationally recognised innovator and teacher in Interventional Oncology. In 2021, Dr Breen was awarded the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology Society of Europe's (CIRSE) Andreas Gruentzig address, last awarded to a British Radiologist 10 years prior. Dr Breen was the Chair of the Northern Mental Health Network from 2020 to 2022. They were invited to be the inaugural Chair in response to the Government's 'Levelling Up' agenda. All Mental Health Trusts and Universities in the North of England were represented. Dr Breen is a specialist in imaging and intervention for patients with non-vascular abdominal disease. They are internationally recognised as a pioneer in the image-guided ablation of abdominal disease. They use radio frequency thermal ablation and cryoablation to destroy abdominal cancers.
