About A/Prof Daniel Van Langenberg

Associate Professor Daniel Van Langenberg is a skilled Specialist in Gastroenterology. He is a highly competent endoscopist, accredited in gastroscopy, colonoscopy and capsule endoscopy. Associate Professor Van Langenberg is a highly accomplished medical professional who currently serves as the Director of Bond Street Gastroenterology, Senior Gastroenterologist and former Head of Inflammatory Bowel Disease service at Eastern Health. He is also a Senior Lecturer at Monash University. He completed his medical schooling at Monash University in 2001 before going on to complete physician training and gastroenterology training in both Adelaide and Melbourne. In 2012, he successfully completed his PhD from Monash under the mentorship of Professor Peter Gibson. Associate Professor Van Langenberg's research has been widely recognized, having received the prestigious Young Investigator Award at the annual gastroenterology conference (AGW 2011), as well as multiple other awards. He has co-authored over 80 publications and is on the Editorial Board of several international gastroenterology journals. He is a member of the Australia & New Zealand IBD Consortium and has previously sat the Australian IBD Association Executive Committee, overseeing National IBD clinical and research interests - including writing the National IBD guidelines (GESA, 2017).  He is also a strong supporter of the National Bowel Cancer Screening Program.
