About Dr Dalvir Singh Bajwa
Dr Dalvir Singh Bajwa is a Consultant Dermatologist at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and is currently undertaking a fellowship in Mohs and advanced dermatological surgery. He completed his medical degree (MBBS) at Newcastle University in 2016, having entered through Durham University’s Foundation Programme. He later undertook postgraduate training in general medicine and dermatology in the North East of England, developing a clinical focus on skin cancer and medical education. Dr Bajwa has held several academic roles, including an NIHR-funded Academic Clinical Fellowship and a pre-doctoral research position supported by Cancer Research UK, where he investigated the genetic basis of cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma. He has also contributed to the field as an Associate Editor for Skin Health and Disease, the official journal of the British Association of Dermatologists. In addition to his medical qualifications, Dr Bajwa holds postgraduate certificates in Health Professionals Education (Keele University, 2018) and Clinical Research (Newcastle University, 2019). His current role involves managing complex dermatological conditions, performing dermatologic surgery, and contributing to service improvement and training initiatives. Outside of clinical practice, Dr Bajwa is an accomplished classical musician, playing tabla with the band Surtaal, and maintains a personal interest in property investment. His professional focus remains on evidence-based dermatology and integrated patient care.
