About Mr Christopher Mitchell
Mr Christopher Mitchell is an Orthopaedic Surgeon. Mr Mitchell specialises in treating conditions affecting the hip and knee. After undergraduate training at Oxford University and University College London, Mr Mitchell qualified in 2006. He was awarded the Sir Walter Mercer Gold Medal for outstanding performance in the FRCS Trauma and Orthopaedics examination in 2017. Before his appointment as a Consultant at University Hospital Southampton in 2020, he completed specialist fellowships in hip and knee surgery at University Hospital Southampton, major trauma and complex arthroplasty at the Royal London Hospital, and a travelling AO fellowship in Houston, Texas. As Orthopaedic Trauma Lead at University Hospital Southampton, he lectures both regionally and nationally and is involved in several ongoing research studies.
