About Ms Caroline McGuiness
Ms Caroline McGuiness is a Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive and Hand Surgeon based in Salisbury, Wiltshire, with extensive experience across both reconstructive and cosmetic surgery. She graduated from the King’s College London (MBBS, 1990) and went on to complete her surgical training, achieving FRCS in 1995 and FRCS (Plast) in 2006, specialising in plastic and reconstructive surgery. Miss McGuiness has over 30 years of clinical experience and runs a private practice at New Hall Hospital. She also holds a substantial NHS consultant post, with a busy practice in hand surgery, congenital hand conditions, and reconstructive breast surgery. Her specialist interests include both functional and aesthetic procedures. In reconstructive and hand surgery, she treats conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger, Dupuytren’s disease, arthritis of the hand, and nerve compression syndromes. In cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, she performs procedures including breast augmentation and reduction, abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), mastopexy, liposuction, facelifts, blepharoplasty, arm and thigh lifts, and scar revision surgery. She is particularly experienced in complex hand surgery in both adults and children, as well as breast reconstruction and symmetry procedures following congenital or acquired conditions. Alongside her clinical work, she is actively involved in research and has published in peer-reviewed journals. She has also received recognition for excellence in research, teaching, and service development. She is a member of the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons and the British Medical Association.
