Dr Brigid Halley is a General Practitioner (GP).
Dr Halley graduated with a First class honours degree in 2008 from Trinity College Dublin and was awarded a Gold medal in their final year medical exams. Along with one other student in their final year exams, Dr Halley had the rare distinction of achieving First Class Honours across the board including Medicine, Surgery, Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, ENT, Ophthalmology and Psychiatry. Dr Halley also holds a First Class honours degree in Therapeutic Radiography from Trinity College Dublin.
Post-graduation, Dr Halley completed their initial post-graduate years in the various Dublin Teaching hospitals gaining valuable experience in a wide range of medical specialties. They subsequently relocated to their native Tipperary and joined the South East General Practice Training Scheme and went on to complete their MICGP qualification. In the process, they also pursued further training and qualifications in Palliative care, Minor Surgery, Diploma in Gynaecology/Obstetrics, Musculoskeletal Medicine including joint injections, Dermatology.
Dr Halley is a qualified LARC tutor (Long Acting Reversible Contraception) and holds a Certificate in Family Planning, Occupational Health, Addiction Management, Diabetes Care, Child Health, Chronic Disease Management and Emergency medicine/ ACLS. Dr Halley remains highly committed to continuing their professional education and staying up to date with the latest medical advances.
