About

Bridie O’Donovan is an experienced integrative psychotherapist with a strong foundation in Humanistic, Person-Centred, and Gestalt approaches. She holds a Diploma in Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy from the Flatstone Institute in Cork, where she trained in a range of modalities including Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Gestalt Therapy. Bridie is a fully accredited member of the Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy (IAHIP) and follows their code of professional ethics and practice.

With a background in mental health care both in hospital and community settings, Bridie brings warmth, depth, and insight to her private practice. She believes in each individual’s innate capacity for growth and change and works relationally to foster awareness and choice in the therapeutic process. Bridie values creating a safe and compassionate space where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered to engage with all parts of themselves; vulnerable, strong, and human.

Bridie continues to deepen her practice through ongoing professional development, including involvement with Madison Gestalt Training and regular supervision. She works with a broad range of issues including anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship challenges, grief, loss, loneliness, depression, and the emotional complexities of life transitions and aging.

Other modalities that Bridie brings  into her work include the work of Peter Levine,a body orientated approach to healing trauma that pays attention to the connection between the body and the emotional well being.Gabor Mates approach who is a pioneer in the field of trauma is very beneficiaI .Bridie is available for work face to face or on line via themes. Bridie would prefer a check in phone call  to check our suitability  prior to working togather.

“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”

— Ms Bridie O'Donovan
