About Dr Bernhard Ludvik
Dr. med. Bernhard Ludvik ist Facharzt für Innere Medizin mit Spezialisierung auf Endokrinologie und Stoffwechselerkrankungen. Dr. med. Ludvik absolvierte sein Medizinstudium an der Universität Wien und promovierte 1985 zum Doktor der Medizin. Nach seinem Studium und seiner Facharztausbildung von 1985 bis 1992 an der Medizinischen Abteilung II der Universität Wien war er zwei Jahre lang Forschungsstipendiat an der University of California, San Diego, und wurde im darauffolgenden Jahr zum außerordentlichen Professor an der Medizinischen Universität Wien ernannt. Seit 1996 ist er Facharzt für Innere Medizin und Endokrinologie und Stoffwechselerkrankungen. Dr. med. Ludvik ist Mitglied in einer Reihe von Fachgesellschaften, darunter die Österreichische Diabetes Gesellschaft, die Österreichische Adipositas Gesellschaft und die European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD). Er war außerdem in verschiedenen Funktionen in diesen Gesellschaften tätig, unter anderem als Präsident der Österreichischen Diabetes Gesellschaft und als Mitglied des wissenschaftlichen Beirats der EASD.
