About

Mr Stew is a Consultant Otolaryngologist (ENT) based at the University Hospital of Wales. He is a fellowship-trained rhinologist with a specialist interest in sinus disease and the extended applications of endonasal endoscopic sinus surgery. Mr Benjamin Stew is referred complex cases from consultant colleagues across South Wales. He manages all types of nose complaints such as nasal obstruction, sinusitis and rhinitis.

His specialist expertise includes frontal sinus surgery, anterior skull base surgery, orbital and optic nerve surgery. In addition to his training in the medical and surgical management of general ENT conditions, Mr Stew has an active interest in all aspects of paediatric ENT.

Mr Stew graduated from Cardiff University and underwent higher surgical ENT training in Wales. Following this, he spent a year in Adelaide undertaking an international fellowship in rhinology and anterior skull base surgery.

He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England as well as an active member of the British Skull Base Society and British Rhinology Society (BRS). Mr Stew is the national representative for Wales on the BRS council. He is committed to medical education and has completed his Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education plus has published widely on sinus surgery including simulation.
