About Dr Azhar Hussain

Mr. Azhar Hussain is a consultant cardiac surgeon at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton. He graduated with First Class Honours from Cambridge University before completing his medical degree at Oxford University in 2013. Following this, he underwent his advanced surgical training in cardiothoracic surgery at the London Deanery, where he was ranked first in the national selection process. Mr. Hussain is experienced in performing a wide range of adult cardiac surgeries, with a particular focus on minimally invasive techniques. During his training, he spent two years at King's College Hospital, where he gained expertise in minimally invasive mitral valve surgery and aortic valve replacement. With more than 30 peer-reviewed publications, Mr. Hussain has also presented his research at numerous national and international conferences.
