Dr. Axel Kaulich promovierte an der Medizinischen Universität Wien und ließ sich anschließend zum Facharzt für Unfallchirurgie, sowie für Orthopädie und Traumatologie ausbilden. Darauf folgten weitere internationale Aus- und Weiterbildungen im Bereich der Handchirurgie und dem Wundmanagement. 2015 war er erst Leiter des Wundmanagement-Teams, dann Leiter der Ambulanz für Handchirurgie und seit 2018 Oberarzt im Hanusch Krankenhaus in der Abteilung für Orthopädie und Traumatologie. Heute bietet Dr. Axel Kaulich das gesamte Spektrum rund um die Hand- und Unterarmerkrankungen an, inklusive konservativen und operativen Behandlungsmethoden. Dabei spezialisiert er sich auf handnahe Verletzungen, abnutzungsbedingte Erkrankungen der Gelenke sowie Sehnen- und Nervenerkrankungen. Mit dem Wide Awake Verfahren nutzt Dr. Kaulich ein innovatives Verfahren, welches eine schmerzfreie, innovative Möglichkeit der örtlichen Betäubung darstellt. Des Weiteren ist er Mitglied der Österreichische Gesellschaft für Unfallchirurgie.
