Ashleigh Murray is a dedicated Play Therapist and Creative Counsellor with a passion for helping children and adolescents navigate social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties. Her journey into this field began with a strong desire to understand feelings and behaviours, stemming from her own experiences from a young age. In her practice, Ashleigh provides a safe and supportive environment for clients to express themselves and develop essential life skills. She believes in giving clients the space to grow at their own pace and become their truest selves, enabling them to reach their fullest potential. Utilising Play Therapy, Ashleigh works with children and young people to explore and address their inner thoughts and feelings through play, recognising it as their natural medium for self-expression. For those who may require additional support, Creative Counselling offers talking therapy alongside creative interventions, such as creative journaling and poetry. Based in Elstree, Borehamwood, Ashleigh offers face-to-face sessions on a short-term or long-term basis, tailoring her approach to meet the unique needs of each client. During the initial session, she prioritises building rapport and understanding the client's goals for therapy. Ashleigh's expertise spans a wide range of issues, including abuse, anxiety, depression, trauma, and identity issues. She employs an integrative approach, drawing from modalities such as Person-Centred Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Transpersonal Therapy to best support her clients.
