About
Professor Chow has multiple national and international awards for his research. Not only is he an expert in arrhythmia treatment and cardiac device therapy, he is also trained in general internal medicine, intervention in coronary disease with over 20 years of consultant experience in his specialist field. He continues to performs complex device and ablation procedures regularly. He is regarded as a senior expert in his field.
In 2002 Professor Chow was appointed as a Consultant Cardiologist at The Royal Berkshire and The Heart Hospital UCLH, he now works at The Barts Heart Center, BartsHealth, the largest cardiac centre in the UK, where he is an Honorary Professor with clinical, academic and teaching roles. He also provides clinical service for patients in Berkshire, North central and East London. He perrforms the most complex cardiac abaltion procedures, including pulse field ablation for AF, high risk VT ablation using the newest mapping systems. He performs complex pacing implants including leadless devices, CRT and appendage occlusion devices tomprevent strokes. He is regarded as one of the most experienced specialists in the UK and has trained a generation of fellows.
He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and an examiner for the University of London.
He is an Honorary Clinical Professor at Queen Mary University, an Honorary associate Professor at University College and is a visiting consultant at Great Orman Street Hospital.
Professor Chow is very active in research, winning a number of national and internation prizes for research, he has published in 200 peer reviewed international research papers. He is a reviewer for high impact cardiac journals and an examiner for the University of London.
