About
Dr Annu Susan George is a Consultant Medical Oncologist practising in the Department of Medical Oncology at Medcare. She has over a decade of experience in cancer care and specialises in personalised cancer treatment, immunotherapy, and multidisciplinary oncology management.
She completed her MBBS at Government Medical College, Kochi, followed by an MD at Government Medical College, Coimbatore. She subsequently obtained a DM in Medical Oncology from the Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences. She is a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP, Glasgow) and has completed the Specialty Certificate Examination (SCE) in Medical Oncology. She also holds certification from the European Society for Medical Oncology.
Her early career included roles as a Resident at ESIC Hospital in Udyogamandal and Senior Resident in Medical Oncology at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences. She later worked as Junior Consultant and Consultant at Lakeshore Hospital and Research Centre and at Indira Gandhi Cooperative Hospital in Kochi before relocating to the UAE. She also gained international exposure through observer roles at the Tausig Cancer Center and Henry Ford Hospital.
Dr George manages a wide range of malignancies, including breast, lung, gastrointestinal (colorectal, stomach, pancreaticobiliary, liver and oesophageal), gynaecological, head and neck, skin, genitourinary, thyroid and endocrine cancers, as well as haematological malignancies such as lymphomas, myeloma, and neuroendocrine tumours. She is experienced in immunotherapy and protocol-driven, multidisciplinary cancer care.
