About Dr Andrew Coutinho
Dr. Andrew Coutinho is a highly qualified Consultant in Nephrology and General Internal Medicine. He specialises in haemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis and kidney transplantation. Dr. Coutinho completed his specialist training in Nephrology at the East of England deanery, training at Addenbrookes Hospital ( Cambridge) and the Ipswich General Hospital. He also completed post CCT renal experience at the West London Renal and Transplant Centre at Hammersmith Hospital. He is extremely knowledgeable and has studied extensively in his chosen fields. Dr. Coutinho obtained his Bachelor's degree in Medicine and Surgery from the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in 2002. In 2007, he became a member of the prestigious Royal College of Physicians, and received a speciality certificate in Nephrology in 2011. He is now a PACES examiner for the Royal College of Physicians. He obtained his Fellowship at the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP London) in 2022. Dr. Coutinho has worked at several hospitals across the NHS, with over 14 years of service in the public sector. He prioritises patient comfort and understanding in his work. Dr Coutinho currently works as a substantive Consultant in Nephrology at the Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS trust and the Guys and St.Thomas' NHS Foundation trust.
