His postgraduate training included a clinical fellowship in Paediatric Urology in the United States at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and a post-doctoral research fellowship at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. He is a member of several professional organisations, including the American Urological Association, the European Urological Association, and the Egyptian Urological Association.
