Dr Amanda Chung

About
She gained her medical qualifications from the University of New South Wales in 2007, before completing a Master of Surgery in 2012. She became a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2016, and later earned a fellowship from the Society of Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgeons.
Dr Chung is extremely interested in research and has authored or co-authored more than 20 peer-reviewed papers and is often invited to speak at major conferences, including the Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand and the American Urological Association. She continues to combine her clinical work with her research and is currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Sydney on detrusor ultrastructural investigations in geriatric lower urinary tract.
Dr Chung is also the network director of the Northern Sydney Local Health District's Surgical Skills Program, the clinical senior lecturer at Macquarie University, and an instructor and examiner at a number of medical schools. She has a passion for global health and additionally undertakes volunteer work with International Volunteers Urology amongst others.
