Dr Aman Ulhaq

Dr. Aman Ulhaq is a highly accomplished Specialist in Orthodontics at Vermilion, providing expert orthodontic treatment to patients in both Edinburgh and Kelso. He is known for his dedication to enhancing patients' smiles using cutting-edge techniques and digital technologies. Dr. Ulhaq also serves as the Lead Consultant Orthodontist at the Edinburgh Dental Institute, where he plays a pivotal role in the clinical treatment of complex cases, conducts research, and trains postgraduate orthodontic students. He also serves as an Examiner with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Additionally, Dr. Ulhaq has presented on various orthodontic topics at both national and international levels. In 2016, Dr. Ulhaq was appointed as a Consultant and Honorary Senior Lecturer in Orthodontics, allowing him to continue his work in clinical treatment, research, and student training. He is a valued member of the British Orthodontic Society and the European Orthodontic Society. Dr. Ulhaq graduated with Honours in 2004 from University College Cork in Ireland. He gained experience in general dental practice and completed Senior House Officer posts in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, oral surgery, and restorative dentistry. These experiences led to his Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Subsequently, Dr. Ulhaq successfully completed his specialist training in orthodontics in the East of England between 2011 and 2014. During this period, he earned a Master's Degree in Orthodontics at King's College London and obtained his Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (RCSEd). In September 2014, Dr. Ulhaq moved to Edinburgh, where he dedicated an additional two years to training at the Edinburgh Dental Institute, ultimately achieving the prestigious position of Consultant in Orthodontics and receiving a Fellowship from the RCSEd. His extensive academic and clinical background has positioned him as a trusted orthodontic specialist, committed to providing the highest quality care to his patients.
