Doctor-medic Petre hat sich durch zahlreiche Fortbildungen, darunter in Stipendien für Handchirurgie (FESSH) in Italien und Forschungsprogramme in der Tschechischen Republik und Italien, weiterqualifiziert. Zudem engagierte er sich in freiwilliger Arbeit und leitete als Student eine Organisation für praktische chirurgische Kenntnisse in Rumänien (SSCR).
