About this clinic
The Menopause Consortium’s Glasgow clinic provides individualised appointments in women’s healthcare, offering both face-to-face and online consultations. Patients can book directly by telephone or through the website. All appointments include a prescription and a letter to the patient’s GP as part of the consultation fee.
The clinic is led by Dr Fiona O’Donoghue, a GP and menopause specialist with over 25 years of experience in women’s health. She is MRCGP and DRCOG qualified and is a member of the British Menopause Society and NAPS. Dr O’Donoghue takes a multifaceted approach to care, considering lifestyle, medical needs and long-term health outcomes such as heart, bone and mental wellbeing. She is also a member of the Scottish Menopause Reference Group, contributing to policy and standards of care in women’s health.
The Glasgow clinic offers a holistic team-based approach to treatment. In addition to menopause expertise, the service provides access to women’s health specialists for conditions including PMS, PMDD, PCOS, contraception, HRT including implants, and menopause-related bone, vaginal and sexual health. Other services available include pelvic floor physiotherapy for bladder, bowel, prolapse and sexual dysfunction, musculoskeletal physiotherapy for issues such as weight gain and joint aches, psychotherapy to support emotional and psychological wellbeing, and dietetic support for nutritional guidance to optimise hormonal balance, bone health and overall health.
