Oswald House in Lancashire provides high-quality care and rehabilitation to vulnerable women (over 18yrs) with complex mental illnesses who may have suffered sexual or physical abuse or who have a history of drug abuse. The facility is well-equipped to support those who require short-break or long-term care, and the highly experienced team are committed to ensuring that women feel safe from the moment they arrive and that they are comfortable working together on their personal journey to recovery.
The internationally recognised ‘Recovery Star' method is used to build confidence in those at the facility by recognising the goals they achieve and ensuring they feel supported with any progress they are able to make. The NICE recommended DBT (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy) model of care is also used for women who have a history of self-harming or suicidal behaviour.
The facility comprises nine en-suite rooms with a large shared garden and is suitable for those with a range of conditions including bipolar disorder, personality disorder, schizophrenia, and substance abuse.
