The company was started by a family, when the creator became disabled he was unable to find a mobility scooter that was comfortable and lightweight to suit his lifestyle; he therefore decided to create a scooter which met his criteria, and subsequently had a breakthrough with the eFOLDi scooter. Since the first designs in 2013, the company has expanded and has won multiple awards including British Invention of the Year and NAIDEX Innovation of the Year. They have also received personal endorsement from Sir Richard Branson.
The eFOLDi products are road legal, have a range of up to 14 miles and travel up to 8 mph. They are made with high quality materials, and transform from a powered scooter, to a chair, and then to a wheeled suitcase quickly and easily. There are three models of the eFOLDi scooter, varying in range and capacity, however all three will fold and unfold in seconds and can fit easily into a car boot, making this mode of personal transport extremely accessible and easier than ever before.
