Mr Geel holds a number of roles of prestige including Project Lead for Addictions for the British Psychological Society, Chair of the Substance Misuse Management in General Practice programme and advisor to the National Institute of Clinical Health Excellence (NICE) with involvement in writing the NICE guidelines on drug and alcohol disorders.
