Ms Cilliers has over 20 years of clinical experience within the NHS, working in secondary care psychology services and community mental health teams. Originally trained as both a clinical psychologist and occupational psychologist in South Africa, she qualified in 1999 before relocating to London in 2000. Since then, she has maintained a long-standing private practice alongside her NHS roles.

In her current NHS position, she works within Central and North West London NHS Mental Health Trust (CNWL) in an academic role as a Clinical Psychologist and Course Tutor on the CBT Training Programme. She is passionate about promoting, improving, and training clinicians in the delivery of evidence-based psychological therapies.

Her areas of clinical expertise include the treatment of anxiety and mood disorders, severe and enduring mental illness, interpersonal and relational difficulties, self-harm, distress tolerance, and anger management. Ms Cilliers also works with adults diagnosed with ADHD, offering specific support related to plannig, time management and managing distractions. Ms Cilliers is known for her balanced approach, combining the importance of a strong therapeutic relationship with the delivery of therapies that are rigorously researched and evidence-based.
