Lorraine Gardner
Psychology
About
She specialises in relationship dynamics, the impact of loss and change, and life transitions. Her approach is rooted in psychodynamic counselling, helping individuals explore unconscious patterns and past experiences that shape their current emotional well-being. Through a supportive therapeutic relationship, she guides clients towards greater self-awareness and emotional resilience.
Beyond her clinical practice, Lorraine has played a significant role in the hospital’s therapy services department. In 2004, she became the Therapy Services Coordinator before progressing to Therapy Services Manager, a position she held until mid-2020. She now continues to provide counselling at Nightingale Hospital on a sessional basis.
Lorraine holds a Diploma in Counselling and is a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
